Here are the answers to some of the common questions our Fair Trade Organic coffee and

Q. What type of beans do you use? Are they high-quality?
A. We use only 100% Organic and Fair Trade arabica beans. They are the highest quality and
best beans available.
Q. What makes you so sure that you have the “best” coffee beans?
A. We have several brokers that source out the best coffee beans on the market. Before we
have even the seen the beans, they have been tested and cupped thoroughly. Once the
beans arrive at our warehouse, they are cupped again and test roasted to find the perfect
roast for you.
Q. Are all of your coffees really organic?
A. Yes, all of our coffees are certified organic. Every bag of coffee beans that we order has a
Certificate of Organic Certification. They are kept on file in the Louisiana Roasting Company
headquarters. Anyone who wishes to see them can stop by, as they are always available for
inspection.
Q. What is Fair Trade coffee?
A. Fair Trade empowers farmers and farm workers to lift themselves out of poverty by
investing in their farms and communities, protecting the environment, and developing the

Q. Do your flavored coffees contain sugar?
A. None of our flavored coffees contain sugar. Read more about our flavored coffees.
Q. How is caffeine removed from your coffees?
A. We offer Swiss-Water Process decaffeinated coffee. The Swiss-Water Process uses no
chemicals to break the caffeine from the coffee, leaving a pure bean that can be roasted to

Q. What is your darkest roast coffee?
A. True Blue Blend - Jasper's Java Fair Trade Organic Blend is our darkest roast. It's slow
roasted to a full French Roast. Read more about Jasper's Java.
Q. What is the shelf life of your coffee?
A. Oxygen is the staling agent for coffee. In order to maintain freshness, we package our
coffees in one way valve-bags immediately after they are roasted. By using the one way
valve-bags, the shelf-life of our coffees is 6 to 8 months with no noticeable difference in
taste. Do not freeze or refrigerate the coffee and store it in an airtight container in a cool,
dry area.

A. Yes, we offer our complete line of coffees for wholesale purchase. Please contact us for
more information about a wholesale program for your business.
Q. Can you create custom roasts for businesses?
A. Yes, offer custom roasts to businesses, organizations, and special events. The name of
the custom roast can be chosen by the customer.
Q. Do you have a Private-Label Program?
